Another fantastic song wrote today
Has a typical 4/4 rhythm, soft intro of distorded guitar and the ambient effects created by a golckenspiel. Gradually increasing with tempo and volume and building in to a verse of liquid wonderment, before you are suddenly hit with a chorus to make the so-called 'big rock stars' blush at the mediocrety and emptiness of their choruses.
The lyrics are, of course, genius, and based on a true fact which was very close to my heart growing up, with my uncle being continually moved on by the police just because he liked to travel the country with a group of 'gypsies'.
The sad reality is that by moving around they find it very difficult to settle down into a job, and so are stereotyped into life of crime and confidence trickstering.
This song is dedicated to the overlooked proportion of these gypsies who earn a decent trade servicing peoples plumbing, building, and most importantly, the tarmacking and blockpaving of driveways.
It's sure to be a great hit, so keep your eye open for it in the charts in the coming months.
